Solids 101 is a class, similar to Liquids 101, that gives freshmen the opportunity to get hands-on experience. Through this class, students can receive their mix certifications and then go on to become mix masters and then senior mix masters.

A new program is currently being developed that will allow students to attend mixes and hot fires.
