The Liquids 101 program was started by one of our Red Team members and our Liquid Propulsion Technical Lead, Josh Kobluk. During the semester, he and senior members of the Rocket Development Lab such as Mac Boyle (TCON on Altair), Zoe Brand (former Chief Engineer), and James Frost (Chief Engineer, DAQ on Altair) will walk students through the systems on Test Cell 3. After students feel confident about the components of the test cell, they need to complete two shadows (one with cryogenics and one without) and a test to become Red Team certified.

The test is comprised of a written element, where students are tested on a model of the test cell and proper safety procedures, and a walk-through of the test cell where the student will name every system on TC3 and the proper responses to TCON call-outs.
