With Test Cell 3 built, the RDL and College of Engineering needed a new machine, one that could collect and process a massive amount of data for engine testing. When no one else could step up to the plate, Andrew Hamilton took up the project.

The summer after his sophomore year, the summer of 2020, Andrew stayed on campus to build the PXIE unit entirely on his own. He designed the code to run it and continues to be the forefront our of DAQ program in the Rocket Development Lab and at the Rocket Test Complex.
