Shattering 3 World Records
In Spring of 2023, Cygnus Suborbitals, using a revised version of the Janus engine, shattered 3 world records by launching their kerosene/lox vehicle Deneb. More than doubling the altitude record at that time and reaching 47,732 feet.
Deneb 2 - Electric Boogaloo
On March 16, 2025 Deneb 2 Electric Boogaloo was launched. This project sought to improve upon Deneb and successfully recover the rocket. While it did not reach its designed apogee of 100,000 feet, it reached 21,000 feet and was successfully recovered despite parachute deployment at 380mph.
